Wynonie Harris était connu pour son caractère exubérant et ses prestations scéniques à couper le souffle. Sur une musique Rhythm and Blues énergique souvent accompagnée par un big band, il chantait avec humour sa vie nocturne, ses amours et son penchant pour la boisson. Véritable mélange des genres entre Shouter, Swing et Rhythm and Blues, cette double compilation lui rend un bel hommage. (PTH)
