La compilation CHANSONS EXOTIQUES POUR CABARETS ET MUSIC-HALL nous emmène voyager des night-clubs de la riviera aux cabarets de Naples en passants par les music-halls parisiens et les bords de la méditerranée (Capri, Alger, Athènes, Alexandrie, ...). Cette aventure de trois cd compte pas moins de septante-quatre morceaux festifs, drôles ou dansants des années cinquante, mariant rythmes orientaux, jazz, mambo et musique afro-cubaine. On retrouve des artistes latins méconnus ou oubliés comme Bob Azzam, Big César, Peppino de Capri, Zina Nahid, Aurelio Fierro. Ainsi que quelques rares connus tels que Sophia Loren, Dario Moreno, Joséphine Baker et Jean Constantin. (CL)
