Premier volume (en 3CD) des travaux précurseurs (1933-1961) de Sun RA "période pré-Arkestra" qui l'ammèneront de sa Birmingham natale vers Chicago. Compilation réalisée et commenté par le journaliste musical Kris Needs.

À noter la première composition de SUN RA (CD1-plage 2) datée de 1933 "Chocolate Avenue" alors qu'il faisait partie de l'ensemble de Clarence Williams (et ne s'appelait pas encore Sun Ra), morceau qu'on retrouve dans le box 14CD THE ETERNAL MYTH REVEALED VOL.1.
