This recording is a new version of China, previously released on Golden Flute Records [JD9374]. The Cheng is a 16-stringed bridged zither; the Ch'in is a 7-stringed bridged zither; the Sheng has a bowl-shaped wind chamber of wood or metal, with a short blowpipe extended out from the side and seventeen bamboo pipes of varying lenghts; The Erhu is a two-stringed fiddle; the Ti-tze is a transverse bamboo flute. All are chinese instruments.
