Each one is demonstrated first in a traditional context, and then on drumset, with an explanation of its derivation and place in Cuban music. This survey of folkloric styles leads up to a discussion and demonstration of Songo which features José Luis 'Changuito' Quintana, recognized by musicians worldwide as the primary drummer behind the development of the Songo style.
