Lee Wiley [1908-1975] was born in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, of Cherokee descent on her mother's side. Later on, her pals in New York were to affectionately nickname her Pocahontas and The Indian Princess. She sings compositions by George & Ira Gershwin, Harold Arlen, Vincent Youmans, Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Richard Rogers and Lorenz Hart and other songwriters. Tracks 49 to 52 recorded February, 1942 or April, 1943.
