Compilation sous la houlette de David Toop autour de musiciens originaires du Royaume-uni tous membres actifs de la "scène anglaise" sévissant dans les musiques expérimentales (pour dire vite) et dans des domaines de l'improvisation entre 1960 et 1977. Des enregistrements inédits directement collectés auprès des musiciens eux-mêmes et pour la plupart issus de sauvegardes sur cassettes audio (excepté le Derek Bailey paru sur le label Incus). Un document exceptionnel retraçant l'émergence pionnière de certaines approches de l'improvisation en Europe.
