C'est la rencontre du pianiste Michael Jefry Stevens avec le musicien allemand Gebhard Ullmann (saxophone, clarinette) qui déclenche la "Conference Call", un quartet de haut niveau. Impressionnant sax ténor, qualité de son et puissance maîtrisée. Stevens "l'architecte" pose de solides bases.[lu dans le Jazzman du mois d'Octobre]
On ne cite plus l'incontournable Joe Fonda.
Très bon disque, excellent label Clean Feed.
