Première publication sous le nom de ce jeune saxophoniste Kamasi Washington. Production volumineuse, en trois volets, où se développe un jazz soulfull aux orchestrations à cheval entre "spiritual jazz" des années 70 façon Alice Coltrane et mainstream moderne façon Wayne Shorter. Produit par un label indépendant electro/hip-hop, le label Brainfeeder de Steven Ellison alias Flying Lotus, dont la distribution assurée par Ninja Tune pourrait donner à cet opus un impact et une visibilité hors des circuits des habitués du jazz.
