Elton Dean est né en 1945 à Nottingham en Angleterre. Saxophoniste il s'essaye parfois au synthétiseur. Il a établi sa réputation au sein du sextet de Keith Tippett de 1968 à 1970. Il a participé aussi à l'aventure du groupe Soft Machine de 1969 à 1972.
Enregistrement live à Paris au Glaz'Art, le 18 octobre 2005.
