On "Ommagio a Pasolini", written specifically for Intermission, Van Bergeijk offers a similar opportunity, providing a taped backdrop bursting with sonic ideas, with severalunanticipated textual moves at the close of the piece. Editing and tape-speed manipulation, devilishly interrogating the notion of "real time" held dear by improvisation.
