Craig Hella Johnson dirige l'ensemble Conspirare dans un enregistrement de trois oeuvres chorales de Robert Kyr. La soprano Estelí Gomez, le baryton David Farwig et le Victoria Bach Festival orchestra complètent le dispositif sonore. 'The Cloud of Unknowing' (2013) et 'Songs of the Soul' (2011) explorent la relation entre l'Humain et l'amour divin via des textes des mystiques espagnoles du 16ème siècle St Thérèse d'Avila et St Jean de la Croix. Robert Kyr a déjà un catalogue fourni de compositions: 12 symphonies, 3 symphonies de chambre, 3 concertos pour violon, de la musique de chambre ainsi que de la musique vocale.
