Israël en Egypte est sans doute l'un des oratorios les plus captivants de Georg Friedrich Haendel, mais l'histoire biblique de la traversée d'Israël à travers le désert vers la Terre promise et les fléaux que Dieu déverse sur l'Egypte méritaient sans doute mieux que cette vision monacale, tout en fadeur, que Roy Goodman développe ici. L'enregistrement s'est fait en live lors des Musikfest de Bremen.
