"Pour que Benoît Haller et sa Chapelle Rhénane acceptent d'enregistrer en public cette oeuvre dont la tradition d'interprétation pratiquement ininterrompue explique à elle seule l'immense popularité, il leur fallait pouvoir assumer de nouveaux choix musicaux: dépasser la virtuosité superficielle, atteindre une sincérité et une ferveur authentique et nouvelle. Voici donc cette version personnelle et forte d'un chef d'oeuvre aussi intemporel qu'universel (...) (voir pochette).
