Voici une occasion exceptionnelle de découvrir l'oeuvre vocale profane de Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck. Ce coffret de trois disques fait le tour de la question avec sobriété et à propos. Si les chansons en français, les madrigaux en italien sont du domaine du connu, les rimes en italien et en français sont plus rarement enregistrées. Il s'agit là de répertoire profane par excellence avec une polyphonie à 2 ou 3 voix et des accents archaïsants. L'oeuvre pour luth est aussi une rareté sur le plan discographique. Bref, vous l'aurez compris, ce disque est une somme indispensable pour qui veut connaître l'oeuvre de l'Orphée d'Amsterdam. AG
