Quadriga Consort est un ensemble autrichien de sept musiciens emmenés par le claveciniste Nikolaus Newerkla qui est aussi l'auteur des arrangements enregistrés ici. Le groupe s'est spécialisé dans l'interprétation de la musique populaire des Iles britanniques dans un style alliant historicité, musique folk et ambiance pop. The Moon of wintertime est un very best of contenant des traditionnels d'Ecosse, d'Irlande et du Royaume Uni interprétés par la chanteuse sud-africaine Elisabeth Kaplan et accompagnés par des instruments anciens : violes, flûtes à bec, percussion et clavecin. Une expérience qui sort des sentiers battus.
