HEAVY METAL: THE SCORE
Elmer BERNSTEIN
- Ref. YH2642
- FILM SCORE MONTHLY, 1981.
Film canadien d'animation de 1981. Plus complet que le YH2639.
"A mostly orchestral score for this early 80s, feature-length animated sci fi film -- penned and conducted by the great Elmer Bernstein, with a depth that's surprising, considering the movie! Elmer shows he's a consummate professional here -- as he avoids any temptation to make things cheesy or sexy to fit the film, and instead turns out a top-shelf orchestral score played by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra with some slight occasional voices at times. As with all Film Score Monthly reissues, this one's lavishly done -- with a huge booklet of notes and images, and an overstuffed track listing that expands the music to over 70 minutes in length."
