"A military soundtrack, but one that's somewhat somber and subdued -- not nearly the action-packed effort you might expect from the cover -- and instead more of an orchestral suite that's filled with tense themes and spacious moments! The first half of the CD features Francesco De Masi's symphonic suite of music for the film "Quel Maledetto Treno Blindato" -- done with a sound that's almost a bit more classic than you'd guess from the late 70s date of the film -- a style that's often a bit brooding, and which really captures the pre-battle spirit more than the actual action of conflict. The remaining half of the CD features 4 more additional tracks recorded live in Rome, as part of a package of work De Masi was doing for newsreels.
