Un film qui distille la bouffonnerie, l'ironie douce-amère et les éclats de rire. Le thème musical du film a fait le tour du monde. Un travail de composition pour orchestre et choeur qui épincle certains instruments (trompette bouchée, piano, bandonéon ..) Avec une chanson "I had better be tonight" composé en collaboration de Johnny Mercer.
