Le label Craft Recordings rend hommage au célèbre chanteur de la scène soul américaine Isaac Hayes avec la compilation « The Spirit Of Memphis 1962-1976 ». Le coffret de quatre disques et d'un vinyle (réplique de son premier 45-tours commercialisé) retrace les débuts de gloire de notre légende. Parmi les nombreux titres Soul Funk et R&B, on retrouve des contributions pour d'autres artistes au sein de Stax (en tant que compositeur et producteur), des chansons interprétées en solo, des reprises, des inédits et des jams sessions.
