Quadruple compilation regroupant les productions de Bobby Robinson parues entre 1951 et 1960. Période charnière que Robinson a su mettre à profit en faisant le pont entre le Blues d'après guerre et le R&B naissant. A Travers une pléiade de labels tels que Robin / Red Robin, Fire ou encore Enjoy, il traversa les époques sans perdre de vue les Top 50, produisant même certains des premiers albums de Hip-Hop à la fin des années 70, dont le " Superrapin " de Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five ! (PTH)
