Très belle parution du label Numero Group! Triple compilation regroupant 58 plages sélectionnées parmi près de 300 albums et singles que le couple Thomas et Louise Boddie a produit entre 1958 et 1993. Basés à Cleveland (Ohio), le couple Boddie a fondé les labels Soul Kitchen, Luau, et Bounty, labels sur lesquels ils ont, en travaillant de manière dévouée et plus qu'artisanale, produits des petits bijoux Soul / Funk à la pelle, sans oublier le Doo-Wop mais aussi le Gospel que l'on retrouve ici souvent électrique et plutôt énergique!
