DADDY, WHEN IS MAMA COMIN' HOME?
Big Jack JOHNSON
- Ref. KJ5401
- BLUE STING, 1988-1989.
From Earwig Records. "Jack is a big man who drives an oil truck that's even bigger than he is, delivering heating oil to various towns and hamlets near his home in Clarksdale, Mississippi. He's been recording since the sixties, when he appeared on one of the last and best blues albums Sun Records founder Sam Phillips ever recorded, the now rare debut LP on Phillips International by Frank Frost and the Jelly Roll Kings. He's been rocking the house down all over the Delta ever since, often with Frost and the Jelly Roll Kings but also with groups of his own. First album: The oil man [KJ5400]."
