VP Records propose ce généreux coffret 4 Cd's regroupant 4 albums du chanteur Reggae Fred Locks. Son premier album "Black Star Liner", fut enregistré aux studios Channel One, Randy's et Harry J et paru en 1975; La plage titre est devenu un classique du Roots Reggae et fait encore danser des les Sound System. Le second CD propose des versions Dub du même album jusqu'ici disponible uniquement en dubplates. Le troisième CD contient l'album "Love and Only Love" enregistré en 1982 avec Lloydie Coxsone à la production tandis que le 4ème CD propose "The Missing Link", un album enregistré en 1978 par Harry J mais qui resta inédit plus de 20ans avant d'être finalement édité par VP Records en 2000. Très belle réédition donc, mais tout de même un unique regret, le manque d'information biographique, pas de livret expliquant ou montrant les sessions d'enregistrement ni le contexte dans lequel celles-ci se sont passées...
