"Go Tell It On The Mountain" se présente sous la forme d'un album Gospel de chants de Noël, mais l'on découvre aussi un disque de Soul vraiment bien arrangé. Et cela se ressent avec des invités de choix face au trio de vocal The Blind Boys of Alabama avec par exemple Danny Thompson à la contrebasse, Michael Jerome à la batterie ou Duke Robillard et Richard Thompson aux guitares. En définitive, on a affaire à de superbes et émouvantes reprises dont "L'enfant au tambour " de Nana Mouskouri ou l'eternel " Silent night" chanté en a capelle pour conclure le disque. (CL)
