Jamaïquaine de naissance, Marcia Griffiths née fin des années quarante, débute sa carrière au coeur des sixties avec une musique reggae. Elle devient mondialement connue et sera surnommée la reine du reggae. Ce nouveau double album intitulé "Marcia Griffiths and friends" porte bien son nom avec trente huit morceaux de l'artiste qui s'accompagnent pour chacun d'un invité de choix comme par exemple : John Holt, Freddie Mc Gregor, Gregory Isaacs ou Buju Banton.
