NATIONAL DOWNHOME BLUES FESTIVAL, VOL.1
CONCERTS/MEETINGS/FESTIVALS/TRIBUTES
- Ref. K 2215
- SOUTHLAND RECORDS, 1981.
One-string guitar: "The instrument is not really a primitive guitar but is, in fact, a descendant of a Central Africa one-stringed instrument usually played by children. In Mississippi and neighboring states, this instrument had survived in a slightly americanized form and had a profound influence on the blues tradition, serving as a training instrument for future guitarists. In doing so, it has shaped the slide or bottleneck style of blues guitar playing".
