Pionnier du DJing et père fondateur du hip-hop, 20 années après la sortie de son dernier album Grandmaster Flash revient avec un nouvel album. Bien produit le disque ne réserve toutefois pas de grandes surprises. Hip-hop assez conventionnel. Le bémol est sans doute dû a la notoriété du personnage dont on aurait aimé entendre quelque chose d'aussi fort que l'album "The message".
On retrouve cependant l'esprit originel du hip-hop avec son message de fraternité ("The Bridge" un pont entre les cultures).
