Triple compilation ayant pour but de remonter jusqu'à la naissance du Rock n'Roll. C'est presque mission presque impossible car le Rock n'Roll n'est pas né par hasard un beau matin, il a maturé d'une séries d'événements et de rencontres entre différentes scènes, le premier morceau du premier CD date de 1916 et parle déjà de Rock n'Roll mais dans un cadre religieux....Loin d'être un survol superficiel de la question, cette compilation propose un voyage dans le temps, de vieilles faces de 78 tours du début du siècle aux 45 tours de la moitié des années 50, on en sort éclairé sur l'héritage et les mutations d'une musique dont bien vivante.
