"On this album we present sarod master Pandit Rajeev Taranath, a senior disciple of Ustad Ali Akbar Khan. Two USA concert recordings can be heard here, including Raga Bihag from 2003 and Raga Bhairavi from 2006. The Bihag consists of a full classical rendition with alaap, jor and two compositions. The Bhairavi adopts a lighter, although no less disciplined, approach with a short alaap and two compositions. Tabla accompaniment for both performances is ably provided by Abhiman Kaushal, who studied under Ustad Sheikh Dawood of Hyderabad." (www.navrasrecords.com)
