Le chanteur et multi-instrumentiste écossais Mike Scott retourne aux sources des premiers albums publiés par son groupe les Waterboys. Pas aussi convaincant que "Fisherman's Blues", ce "An Appointment With Mr Yeats" renoue malgré tout avec des textures sonores (Fender Rhodes, flûte et violons) bien plus dignes que sur ses albums précédents (ceux des années 90 et 2000).
