"This recording is made from the sound of the activities themselves, and the guitar. For the sounds of the activities, I used the set of twenty gifts as Milton Bradley manufactured them in 1865 as my reference. I think of the guitar as a translation of those visual objects/physical activities. The additional sounds: the cello corresponds with solid, the nyckleharpe with plane and line, and the kemençe with point. The loom, sewing machine, and yarn spinning sounds are reminders of the gifts' precedents. The windmill is nature and science. A écouter.
