Troisième album du songwriter anglais Baxter Dury, ce "Happy Soup" est le disque le plus homogène de son auteur. Sans atteindre le transcendant joyau au mellotron "Oscar Brown" de son premier opus, Baxter (fils du grand Ian) arrive avec une certaine élégance et un savoir-faire Pop à être convaincant sur les dix chansons du disque produit ici par Craig Silvey (Arcade Fire, Arctic Monkeys, Portishead).
