"Liz Janes paired up with the Los Angeles free jazz collective Create(!) for a six-song EP, Liz Janes & Create(!), to create a haunting, harmonious collection of "public domain" songs. Instead of creating new alt-folk versions of traditional songs, Janes and Create(!) create new arrangements that stay true to the meanings and origins of many of the songs which are mostly folk songs and spirituals."
