MUTATIONS ET PROTHÈSES (MASTERED)
ETAT BRUT
- Ref. XE703A
- SUB ROSA, 2012. Enregistrement 1979-1983.
Wicked Belgian no wave post-punk rescued from obscurity by the legendary Sub Rosa lot. 'Mutations et prostheses' is mucky as f**k and we love it. It's the work of two blokes called Philippe who were apparently the first band to play at Club Moral - an influential venue and performance band in Antwerp that also played host to the likes of Whitehouse, Boyd Rice and Trevor Brown between 1981-87 - and cycles from grotty motorik episodes to scuzzy industrial noise a la Maurizio Bianchi or Throbbing Gristle, via steppin' dub noise and ranty militant exercises. Make sure to check the tunnelling pounder 'Sollicitation extérieure' and the head-swallowing 'Psychosomatique' and you'll be hooked, well, if youre of that disposition anyway. (Boomkat)
