Originaire de Portland, Dave Depper a joué avec Jolie Holland, Mirah et Norfolk & Western. Il reprend ici "Ram", le classique de Paul McCartney sorti initialement en 1971. On pourrait comparer ce disque au remake du film d'Alfred Hitchcock "Psychose" par le réalisateur américain Gus Van Sant. Tout comme lui Depper reste fidéle à l'original et le réinterprète sans modifier grand chose au disque initial. Au final cette démarche est sympathique, courageuse mais un rien inutile. (DM)
