"The Scotch Egg is known in The Netherlands as an eggball. Well anyway, DJ Eggball comes from Japan, now lives in Brighton in England and is responsible for some of the most wicked music made with Nintendo gameboys you could possibly imagine. With it he processes on this Scotch Hausen cd well known compositions of Bach and makes ultra short tracks with computer sounds, Atari Teenage Riotpunklike madness, 8-bit gameboy gabber and noise that would not be strange to Merzbow. Sometimes a bit of hiphop or electro influences can also be found in the madness of DJ Scotch Egg. Scotch Hausen is a disturbed recording with gameboy gabber meant as tribute to artists such as Stockhausen. Philip Glass, Terry Riley, J.S Bach and Moondog, and due to the intensity and bounciness of the recording it is a relief that it doesn't last longer than 20 minutes. Highlights are the tracks 'Scotch Bach', No Beats' and 'Scotch Hausen' in which an 'orchestra' is used of 50 musicians playing on a gameboy. Scotch Hausen is out via Very Friendly / AD AADAT, where also artists like The Boredoms, Thurston Moore, Bong-Ra, Kid 606, Merzbow and Duran Duran Duran release their
