SOUNDCARDS FROM CHILE
Ramuntcho MATTA & SAMON TAKAHASHI
- Ref. XM284E
- ANANANA, 1998.
All sounds come from natural sounds that I have recorded or/and from the exceptional precolumbian musical instruments collection of the Museo Precolombino of Santiago de Chile. The voices that can be heard are from Rosa Yagan, the last yagan woman in Chile, Tsogt Tsede, a mongol singer, La Picasso, a woman living in Lago Ranco and Oona Matta, my daughter. The treatments of sounds were made with programs like: Hyperprism, GRM Tool, MetaSynth, SoundHack and a specialy made program called GrooveMachine made by Marc Battier. The sound design and processing were mostly made by Samon Takahashi while I was composing and mixing them in a way that could "make sense". A suivre.
