Derrière Porcelain Raft se cache en fait Mauro Remiddi, musicien italien, qui malgré son jeune âge a déjà eu plusieurs vies musicales [il a joué de la pop indie à Londres, de la musique Klezmer avec un cirque itinérant de Berlin, a été pianiste à Broadway...].
Sur STRANGE WEEKEND, le premier album de son nouveau projet, signé sur le label Secretly Canadian [Yeasayer, Anthony and the Johnsons..], Mauro joue une dream pop aérienne et délicate associée à sa voix androgyne et planante, pas si loin de la chillwave de Neon Indian ou de Ariel Pink. [I.K]
