Recorded and produced by Tony Conrad. "From the age of 22 to 30 months, Thunderboy turntablist Ted was recorded for a little over four hours. The recordist, Tony Conrad, describes the evolution of Thunderboy's sound. "I gave baby Ted a children's phonograph when he was a little over a year and a half old. His first record, Donny Osmond's "Puppy Love", which became a Thunderboy classic, had to be attached to the turntable, since he had very imperfect accuracy in movement of his arms. At first it was difficult for him to conceptualize the relationship between the movement of the tone arm against the record and the loud sounds that were produced, particularly since he was just exploring his control of his own movement at the time...
